The Suntram system collects wind and solar energy at the stations and feeds the unused power back into the grid.


Suntram doesn't use expensive land consuming road or rails. Because Suntram is cable supported it avoids the need for bridges and earthwork, instead Suntram flies over the existing roads and rough terrain. Suntram can even be lowered down into a shopping mall or other needed locations.


The basic structure is composed of a cable in tension and towers spaced a 1/4 mile to a 1/2 mile apart. Much less expensive than bridges, roads, traffic lights, snowplows, right-of-way, and traffic accidents.


An integral part of the design is for Suntram to be rider supported; a true test of design efficiency. This would eliminate much of the waste in one of the world’s largest industries, public transportation.


The maximum level design speed for Suntram is 100 MPH.
